Issue
Issue:
On certain motorcycles, a software problem could cause damage to the throttle position sensor. This could lead to an unstable idle, engine hesitation or the engine could stall.
Note: This recall replaces recall M23-008 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-339). Vehicles that received a software update under that recall also require this repair.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Yamaha will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to update the engine control unit (ECU) software and replace the throttle position sensor assembly.
