Issue
Issue:
On certain aerial devices, the front axle capacity may be too low. As a result, the vehicle could be overloaded. This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control.
Note: This recall only affects certain Ford E350 van chassis with gross axle weight rating (GAWR) of 1837 kg (4050 lb.) or 1905 kg (4200 lb.).
Safety Risk:
A loss of control could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a Ford dealership or an authorized service facility to install upgraded front coil springs and hardware. Additionally, Altec Industries will provide you with a new compliance label with updated information.
