Issue

Issue: On certain tank trucks, the wrong rubber spacers between the tank subframe and the truck frame may have been installed during production. As a result, the bolts that secure the tank to the truck frame could fail and cause the tank to detach from the truck. Safety Risk: A tank that detaches from the truck could cause a loss of control and/or create a road hazard for others. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a tank that detaches from the truck could become damaged and create the risk of a fire or explosion. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Maxfield LP advises that you should inspect the tank for loose or missing bolts, and not to use the truck if bolts are missing, until the recall repairs have been completed. Maxfield LP will notify owners by email and advise you to take your truck to an authorized service facility to replace the bolts and rubber spacers that secure the tank to the truck.
