Issue
On certain RV trailers, the bracket that secures the propane tank may not have been welded properly. As a result, the bracket could fail, and the propane tank could detach from the trailer while being towed.
Safety risk
A propane tank that detaches could create the risk of a fire or explosion. Additionally, a propane tank that detaches from the trailer could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
To reduce the safety risk, Forest River recommends that you should remove the propane tank from your trailer before towing. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the propane tank bracket.
