Transport Canada Recall - 2024740 - ALTEC INDUSTRIES

Issue: On a small number of aerial devices, the cap at the end of the hydraulic lift cylinder could detach. If this happens, the boom lift can drop suddenly. Note: This recall only affects hydraulic lift cylinder part number 035040094 Safety Risk: A boom lift that drops suddenly could create a risk of injury to the operator and nearby people. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to inspect the part number on the boom lift cylinder. If your lift has this cylinder, Altec recommends replacing the cylinder or removing the unit from service.
