Issue
On certain RV trailers, the solar panel may not have been wired correctly to the solar controller. As a result, the wiring could overheat and melt and cause a short circuit.
Safety risk
A short circuit can create the risk of a fire.
Corrective actions
To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises not to use the solar power system until the recall repairs are completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, correct the wiring for the solar panel.
