Issue
On certain snowmobiles, the emergency stop switch may be the wrong colour. Canadian regulations require the emergency stop switch to be red.
Safety risk
An emergency stop switch that's the wrong colour could delay you from stopping the snowmobile in an emergency and increase the risk of injury.
Corrective actions
To reduce the safety risk, Widescape recommends you to always use the wrist-strap emergency switch until the recall repairs are completed. Widescape will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to install a red cover on the emergency stop switch.
