Issue:
On a small number of vehicles, the second-row seat upper tether anchorages used for installing a child car seat may not be properly secured . As a result, the child seat tether strap could detach in a crash.
Safety Risk:
A child seat that is not properly secured could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to repair the second-row seat upper tether anchorages.
