Issue
On certain hybrid vehicles, a software problem could cause a sudden change in brake pedal feel and travel when the brakes are applied during a turn. This could cause temporary reduced braking.
Safety risk
Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Toyota will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the skid control ECU software.
