Issue:
On certain transit buses, dirt and moisture could enter the air intake and cause the controller for the auxiliary heater to short circuit. If this happens, the windshield defrost system may not work properly.
Safety Risk:
A short circuit can create a fire risk. A windshield defroster that doesn't work could cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to repair the auxiliary heater air intake.
