Issue
Issue:
On one vehicle, a software problem could cause the parking lamps to turn off when the headlights are turned on and a turn signal is activated. As a result, the parking lamps could be difficult to see. Canadian regulations require the parking lamps to stay on constantly when the headlights are turned on.
Safety Risk:
Parking lamps that do not work properly could make the vehicle less visible to others and could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Porsche will notify the owner by email and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to update the headlight control module software.
