Transport Canada Recall - 2024483 - TESLA

Issue: On certain vehicles, the inspection or repairs completed by a Tesla service center during recall SB-20-12-005 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-553) may not have been effective. As a result, a second inspection and/or repair is required. On certain vehicles, two of the cosmetic roof trims may not be properly attached. This includes the cosmetic roof trim just behind the top of the windshield and the spine cosmetic roof trim between the rear doors. Over time, these cosmetic roof trims could loosen and separate from the vehicle. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2020-553. Safety Risk: Cosmetic roof trims that detach from a moving vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tesla will notify owners by email and advise you to contact Tesla Service to arrange for an inspection and, if necessary, repair or replace the cosmetic roof trims.
