Issue:
On a small number of trucks, the ball stud on the tie rod(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the stud could fail and cause a loss of steering control.
Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Navistar will notify the owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the tie rod(s), as necessary.
