Issue
On certain vehicles, an electrical problem could cause the high-voltage battery pack to de-energize. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. This problem could also cause the parking brake to apply suddenly while driving. Note: This recall only affects certain electric vehicles built on a Ford E-450 chassis.
Safety risk
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a parking brake that self-applies while driving could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Morgan Olson will notify the owners by mail and provide instructions for how to inspect and replace the fuse box and connector. The company will also update the vehicle software.
