Issue
Issue:
On certain vehicles, a Rivian service center may have removed and reused the upper B-pillar and/or C-pillar trim(s) during service. As a result, the clip(s) attaching the trim to the pillar(s) may be damaged. If this happens, the side curtain airbags may not inflate properly in a crash.
Safety Risk:
An airbag that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Rivian will notify owners by email and advise you to take your vehicle to a Rivian service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the upper B-pillar and/or C-pillar trim panel(s) with new ones.
