Transport Canada Recall - 2024188 - MERCEDES-BENZ

Issue: On one vehicle, the quick release fastener for the 12 V battery ground connection may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the ground connection could overheat and melt. This problem could also cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A ground connection that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify the owner by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the quick release fastener.
