Transport Canada Recall - 2024157 - FORD

This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2025-253. Issue: On certain vehicles, the child safety lock on the left-rear door may not work properly. As a result, the door could be opened from the inside of the vehicle when the safety lock is in the "ON" position. Safety Risk: A child safety lock that doesn't work properly could allow a child to open a rear door while the vehicle is moving and create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the rear door latch(es).
