Transport Canada Recall - 2024104 - MERCEDES-BENZ

Issue: On certain vehicles, the accelerator pedal bracket may not have been welded properly. As a result, the pedal could deform and/or detach. If this happens, the accelerator pedal could stay applied and/or block the brake pedal, causing reduced braking. Safety Risk: A vehicle that doesn't slow down as expected or accelerates on its own could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, reduced braking can increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to secure the accelerator pedal bracket.
