Issue

Issue:
Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the engine to stall during a downshift. As a result, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a V6 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the transmission control unit software.
