Issue

Issue: Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the engine to stall during a downshift. As a result, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a V6 engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the transmission control unit software.
