Issue:
On certain vehicles, the engine valve springs could break. As a result, the engine could fail and oil could leak onto hot components in the engine compartment.
Safety Risk:
An engine failure can cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels and could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, oil that leaks onto hot components can create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Kia will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the engine.
