Issue:
On certain aerial devices, the wiring in the engine compartment may have been routed incorrectly. As a result, the wiring could become damaged by contact with the hood. If this happens, the wiring could short circuit and melt.
Safety Risk:
Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to inspect and, if necessary, re-route the wiring and fuse block. To reduce the safety risk, Altec advises to periodically inspect the wiring for signs of damage until the recall repairs are completed.
