Issue
On certain RV trailers, the spare tire carrier could break and cause the spare tire to fall from the trailer.
Safety risk
A spare tire that falls from the trailer could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash.

Airstream will notify owners by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. Airstream recommends that you should inspect the spare tire carrier to ensure that it's secure before driving. You should also check it periodically throughout your trip.
