Issue: On certain vehicles, the rear frame may be missing reinforcements. As a result, the frame could become damaged and cause a change vehicle stability. This problem could also cause the mounting points for the third-row seats to fail in a crash. Safety Risk: A change in vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a seat that moves or separates in a crash could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, repair the longitudinal frame members.
