Transport Canada Recall - 2023376 - MICRO BIRD

Issue: On one G5 electric bus, the high-voltage power assist system for the steering and brakes may not work properly. As a result, the power assist for the steering and brakes could fail while driving. Safety Risk: A loss of power brakes can cause a sudden increase in brake pedal force and lead to an increase in stopping distance. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort. Both could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify the owner by mail. The corrective actions for this recall are under development. Micro Bird recommends not to drive the bus until the recall repairs are completed.
