Issue
The compliance label on certain RV trailers lists incorrect information. The label incorrectly lists the tires as ST235/80R16G with a recommended tire pressure of 750 kPa (110 psi). The label should instead list the tire size as ST255/85R16E, and the recommended tire pressure as 550 kPa (80 psi). This information could lead you to install the wrong tires on the trailer or to overinflate the tires.
Safety risk
Using a trailer with the wrong sized tires could result in a tire failure. Additionally, tires that are overinflated could cause poor towing/driving performance. Both could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Heartland RV will mail a new compliance label to each owner. If you would like help to install the label, you can contact a Heartland RV dealer to have it installed free of change.
