Issue:
On a small number of vehicles, the upper tether anchorage for a child car seat may not be properly welded to the second-row left seat frame. As a result, the child seat tether strap could detach in a crash.
Safety Risk:
A child seat that is not properly secured could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the second-row left seatback frame.
