Transport Canada Recall - 2023146 - MERCEDES-BENZ

Issue: On certain vehicles, the B-pillar trim could crack when a side curtain airbag deploys in a crash. If this happens, the side airbag(s) may not inflate properly and plastic pieces could be propelled toward people in the vehicle. Safety Risk: Plastic pieces that are propelled towards vehicle occupants could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the interior B-pillar and beltline trim.
