Transport Canada Recall - 2023131 - FORD
Brand(s)
Summary
Affected products
2022 | FORD | F59 COMMERCIAL CHASSIS
Issue
On certain vehicles, the bolts that attach the rear brake calipers may not be properly tightened. As a result, the bolts could loosen over time and a caliper could contact and damage the brake lines and/or the wheel. Damaged brake lines could leak and create reduced braking. Damage to a wheel could cause a sudden loss of tire pressure.
Safety risk
Reduced braking could cause an extended stopping distance. Additionally, a sudden loss of tire pressure could cause a loss of control. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Ford will notify owners by mail instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and re-tighten the rear brake caliper mounting bolts. Any damaged bolts will be replaced.
