Issue
On certain motorhomes, a software problem in the vehicle control module (ICM) could cause a sudden loss of power. If this happens, the engine, head lamps and/or windshield wipers could suddenly shut off.
Safety risk
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of headlights and/or windshield wipers could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Newmar will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your motorhome to a Shyft Group service center to reprogram the vehicle control module (ICM) software.
