Issue
On certain vehicles, the fire sensor located in the engine compartment could fail. If this happens, the automatic fire suppression system (AFSS) could activate and shut down the engine.
Safety risk
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective actions
Prevost will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Prevost service center to inspect, and if necessary replace the fire sensor. They will also install spacers between the sensor and mounting bracket.
