Issue

Issue: On certain motorcycles equipped with an optional milled hand brake lever, the fulcrum (pivot) pin for the brake lever may not have been manufactured correctly. As a result, there could be a reduction in brake pressure that can cause reduced braking. Safety Risk: Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: BMW Motorrad will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the hand brake lever fulcrum pin.
