Transport Canada Recall - 2022636 - FORD

Issue: Under certain conditions when the vehicle is operated in 4WD-Low (4L) mode, the rearview camera image could reappear on the display after shifting out of reverse. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with an 8-inch display. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that displays when the vehicle is not in reverse may confuse or distract the driver. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update for the SYNC module to each vehicle. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership.
