Transport Canada Recall - 2022562 - FORD

Issue: On certain vehicles, a programming error in the control module for the antilock braking system (ABS) could cause the brake lamps to turn on or stay on when the driver is not braking. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 2.0 L EcoBoost engine and towing package. Safety Risk: Brake lamps that switch on or stay on when the vehicle is not braking could cause confusion for other drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the ABS control module software.
