Issue
On certain motorhomes, a programming error in the Firefly multiplex electronic control module (ECM) could cause the awning to extend or close on its own while the vehicle is parked.
Safety risk
An awning that extends or closes on its own could create a risk of injury.
Corrective actions
Spyder Controls Corporation (Firefly) will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to an authorized service center to reprogram the Firefly multiplex electronic control module (ECM).
