Issue:
On a small number of models with 4Motion all-wheel drive, a software problem in the engine control unit (ECU) could cause the engine to stall when coming to a stop.
Note: This is an expansion of recall 24HH (Transport Canada Recall 2021-496).
Safety Risk:
A loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the ECU software.
