On certain vehicles, there is an error in the vehicle identification number (VIN). As a result, it is not possible to determine the make of the vehicle using the VIN alone.

This small error does not affect safety.

This is not a recall. Subaru has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have correct vehicle identification numbers.
