Issue

Issue:
The compliance label and tire and loading information label on a small number of school buses list incorrect tire size information. The labels incorrectly list the tire size as LT225/75R16 E, when they should list the tires as LT245/75R16 E. As a result, when the tires are replaced, the wrong tires could be installed. This could lead to poor handling and/or a tire failure.
Note: This recall only affects school buses equipped with single rear wheels.

Safety Risk:
Poor handling or a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) will mail a new compliance label and tire and loading information label to each owner. If you would like help to install them, you can contact a DTNA authorized service facility to have them installed free of charge.
