Issue
Issue:
On certain trucks, a washer in the transmission could break. If this happens, metal particles could cause the park pawl not to work properly. As a result, the truck could move when the transmission is in Park, and the parking brake is not used.
Note: This recall only affects trucks with a 6.7 L diesel engine.
Safety Risk:
A parked vehicle that rolls away could create the risk of an injury or a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealership to replace a gearset in the transmission.
