Issue
Issue:
Certain aerial devices may not have had all pivot points lubricated during assembly. This could cause the pivot pins to seize and the pin retainers to break. If this happens, the lower boom cylinder could disconnect from the turntable.
Safety Risk:
A lower boom cylinder that separates from the turntable could create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Terex will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for inspecting all pivot points. If the pivot pins are seized or the pin retaining components are damaged, you should not use the machine until the recall repairs have been completed. Terex will instruct you to lubricate the machine according to the maintenance manual and carry out the required routine maintenance.
