Issue

Issue:
A small number of RV trailers were built with the wrong tires and axles with the wrong load rating. The trailers were built with axles rated for 1587 kg (3500 lb.) and ST205/75R15D tires. The trailers should have axles rated for 1995 kg (4400 lb.) and ST225/75R15D tires. As a result, the axles and tires could be overloaded. This could result in an axle or tire failure.

Safety Risk:
An axle or tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
None of the affected trailers have been sold to retail customers. Keystone will instruct dealerships to replace the axles, tires and rims with parts rated for 1995 kg (4400 lb.) before delivering each trailer.
