Issue
Issue:
On certain motorhomes, heat shields may be missing behind the refrigerator. As a result, when the refrigerator is running on propane, the wood frame behind it could overheat and be charred by exhaust.
Safety Risk:
A wood frame that overheats could catch fire.
Corrective Actions:
Triple E will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for ordering a fridge recall kit, free of charge. You will be instructed to take your motorhome to a dealer or RV service center to have the heat shields installed. To reduce the safety risk, Triple E recommends that you should turn off the propane until the recall repairs have been completed.
