Transport Canada Recall - 2022088 - MERCEDES-BENZ

Issue:
On one vehicle, the ground connection for the electric auxiliary heater in the motor compartment may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the connection and wiring could overheat. This problem may also cause the left headlamp not to work.

Safety Risk:
A loose or overheated connection could create the risk of a fire. A headlamp that does not work could reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:
Mercedes-Benz will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect and tighten the ground connection for the electric auxiliary heater, as necessary.
