Issue:
On certain vehicles, the front-impact sensors for the airbag system could be damaged in a severe crash. If this happens, the front airbags may not inflate.
Safety Risk:
Airbags that do not inflate in a crash could create an increased risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Kia will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the airbag control unit (ACU) software.
