Issue

On certain trucks, the latches that hold the chassis fairing step assembly could loosen. If this happens, the steps could move unexpectedly.

Safety risk

Steps that move when you get in or out of the cab could create a risk of injury.

Corrective actions

PACCAR will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the bolts for the latch on the chassis fairing step assembly. The dealer will also add a bracket to strengthen the latch attachment area.
