Issue
Issue:
On certain trailers, the emergency trailer breakaway switch may not be wired correctly. As a result, the trailer brakes may not self-apply if the trailer separates from the tow vehicle.
Safety Risk:
A trailer breakaway switch that does not work properly could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Alamo Group will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your trailer to an Old Dominion Brush affiliated dealer to inspect the trailer breakaway switch wiring and rewire it, as necessary.
