Issue
Issue:
On certain child car seats, a child could place their fingers through the crotch buckle opening and pick at the foam seat cushion. After repeated picking, a child may be able to remove small pieces of expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam and put the small pieces into their mouth, nose, or ear.
Note: This notice only affects Clek Foonf and Fllo convertible car seats made before May 21, 2021.
Safety Risk:
A child could choke on a small piece of foam that is removed from the seat. The seat foam is non-toxic and will not make a child sick if they eat it.
Corrective Actions:
Clek has designed a plastic insert to cover the foam around the crotch buckle opening. Clek will mail a notice to all registered owners and provide you with instructions for how to get a free kit to fix this issue. If you have not registered your car seat, or if you have moved, contact Clek to get a free remedy kit. Note: Clek advises that it is safe to use your car seat while waiting to receive a kit to fix the issue.
