Issue:
On one truck, the steering wheel airbag cover could become brittle over time. If this happens, the cover could shatter and become a projectile when the airbag inflates in a crash.
Safety Risk:
Loose parts that are projected toward the occupants when an airbag inflates could increase the risk of an injury.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take the truck to a dealer to replace the driver-front airbag module.
