Issue

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the seat base could crack near the hand-hold. If this happens, the hand-hold could detach from the motorcycle. Safety Risk: A hand-hold that detaches while a passenger is using it could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Harley-Davidson will notify owners by mail and advise you to arrange service with an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer, who will replace the seat base. Harley-Davidson recommends that you should not use the hand-holds until the recall repairs are completed.
