Issue:
On one school bus, the compliance label lists the wrong gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). As a result, the electronic stability control (ESC) system may not work properly if the bus is loaded to the listed GVWR.
Safety Risk:
A stability control system that does not work properly could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their bus to a DTNA authorized service facility to install a label with the correct GVWR.
