Issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the engine to shut off shortly after being started, and you may not be able to restart it. Safety Risk: A loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the engine control unit software. Mercedes-Benz advises that you should run the engine for at least 15 seconds after starting it, before you begin to drive.
